Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority provides a variety of loan guarantee programs for small businesses and agri-business operations.  Guarantees can assist the borrower in securing better loan terms from his or her financial institution.  Start-up daycares, start-up downtown businesses, expanding businesses and farms may be eligible for WHEDA programs.

Service Corps of Retired Executives provides free and confidential assistance to businesses of all sizes and stages. 

The Small Business Development Center at UW Stevens Point provides free and confidential business assistance and workshops throughout the year for all types, sizes, and stages of business.
